Understanding how your laundry detergent impacts the environment
At Rockin’ Green the environment is our friend. That is why we invented a laundry detergent that is all-natural and easy on our planet, but also one that still gets the job done right!
So how do regular laundry detergents affect the environment? There are many different ingredients that go into laundry detergents, and many of them are NOT safe for our environment. Phosphates are a huge concern in our industry, and for good reason. They are often used to soften hard water, and have known to adversely affect fish and wildlife, plus they promote algae growth in water supplies.
Surfactants are another problem for many detergent manufacturers. It is common to find surfactants that degrade very slowly, if at all, and release cancer causing agents into the water stream and by default unto your babies’ delicate skin!
Rockin’ Green is phosphate-free and uses biodegradable, zero dioxin surfactants.
Regular laundry detergent contains chemicals that may:
Cause irritation on sensitive skin resulting in the usage of more unnecessary

I've been using Rock in Green ever since I started cloth diapering. I started using them back when they sold their powder in potato sack looking bags. It keeps my diapers clean and I love it so much I actually switched all of my laundry needs to Rock n Green. Everything in my home gets washed in this detergent and comes out clean. I've even used it to scrub my toilets and clean the carpets. There are so many uses for it. I love love love it!

I have an he washer. I use 2 Tbsp for my diaper loads, towels, and washable breast pads and they are WAY more absorbant than when I was using regular detergent. It comes in a variety of smells - I like the Lavendar/Mint best so far.
